MEET THE PAVILION LANDSCAPES TEAM
Our team have undertaken a broad range of both commercial and private projects and are fully experienced in all aspects of landscaping with individual strengths in specialist work methodologies. Our core workforce is dominated by long serving employees giving The Pavilion Landscapes a strong foundation built on loyalty and commitment. This is evident in the quality of finish on each and every job.
Charlie O’Leary
Charlie O’Leary, a 3rd generation horticulturist, established The Pavilion in 2001. At this time, due to increasing oil prices, Charlie diversified the family tradition of growing tomatoes by growing flowers and plants in the established glasshouses on Myrtle Hill, Ballygarvan. In this spirit of innovation, Charlie has developed The Pavilion to become one of Ireland’s leading Landscaping Contractors and Garden Centre’s. As recently as 2017, Pavilion Landscapes won one of the most prestigious awards in the industry: The Association of Landscape Contractors in Ireland’s national award winner for best garden in the category of ‘Private Garden over €30,000’.
Charlie’s integrity, work ethic and experience in adapting difficult situations into workable solutions is understood by our clients. He is uncompromising in his vision to deliver a standard of excellence in Pavilion Landscapes projects.
In leading the team at The Pavilion, he instils his belief in each team member that each job is their future reference and so they combine skills to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
Cornelia Creedon
Cornelia joined the team at The Pavilion Garden Centre in 2003. Cornelia is fascinated by plants and delights in how they develop through the seasons. Her work at the Garden Centre revolves around matching the right plant to each customer’s unique situation.
Over the years, Cornelia has developed relationships with key suppliers across Europe and has a deep knowledge of the supply chain as it evolves throughout the year. This ensures the most successful outcomes for our clients as she pays particular attention to reputable sources of plants for each site and aspect. Over the years Cornelia has gained specialist experience of plant husbandry & propagating and has accumulated an enviable level of plant knowledge. She leads a team of horticulturists and customer service specialists at The Pavilion Garden Centre. Cornelia lives in Toomsbridge in Cork.
Rachel Cassidy
Rachel began life at Pavilion Landscapes in 2016 working as a plant specialist in the Garden Centre. Called to life on the road, Rachel began to apply her knowledge directly to our landscaping customers. Inspired by designers such as Charlotte Rowe, Piet Oudolf, Mary Reynolds, June Blake and Clyde Nichols, Rachel likes to use naturalistic planting to bring a touch of the natural into urban settings.
Having grown up in London, it was through visits to gardens such as Kensington and Kew Gardens that Rachel developed her fascination with plants. Rachel has a Diploma in Horticulture from GMIT, and is currently adding to her qualifications in Garden Design. She has worked in a wide variety of gardens that range from the traditional to the contemporary. Rachel oversees Pavilion Landscapes maintenance programs and oversees planting installations by the landscaping team.
Rob Ó Foghlú
Rob joined the team in 2018 and co-ordinates the various projects and landscaping teams. A woodland creature, Rob’s first love is trees and their innate connection to the human psyche. He holds an interest in naturalistic planting together with a fascination in aspects of contemporary, urban design.
He has held project management roles in a variety of contexts over the years. These include projects in landscaping, woodland management and furniture design & make. He holds a MSc. (Management) from UCC and qualifications in Horticulture, Design and Woodland Management. In 2016, his work was shortlisted to exhibit at the RDS Craft Awards in the Emerging Maker category. Any spare time is spent developing a pioneering Biodiversity Project near Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Ryan Hurley- ASM Group
Ryan is a determined, reliable, enthusiastic individual working in the Health and Safety sector since 1998. Ryan has gained highly transferable skills through extensive experience working with numerous clients and contractors which include people management, communication and problem solving. He has a proven track record in developing and implementing workplace safety standards to ISO 9001 / 18001& Safe T Cert standard. Ryan works with Pavilion Landscapes on behalf of The ASM Group, an independent firm of health and safety professionals established in 2003.
Danny Doody
Danny was the very first person to join The Pavilion when it was founded in 2001. Initially Danny divided his time between the garden centre and landscaping. However, as Pavilion Landscapes expanded, he began to spend all of his time on-site on landscaping and maintenance projects.
Danny is very conscientious about his work and passionate about plants. He will travel annually to garden shows throughout Europe, studying and observing trends in gardening and garden design. Danny is honest, loyal and full of integrity. He will always put his customer first and has a genuine desire for his customers to be happy with his work. Danny spends most of his time maintaining gardens of our key customers, he is the perfect candidate for leading this work, we can always depend on him to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Danny lives near Ballygarvan with his family.
Jack Hedigan
Jack is a highly experienced horticulturist with almost two decades of landscaping experience. Jack has built a reputation for his ability to calmly resolve project challenges. Upon graduating from Kildalton Horticultural College, Jack moved to The Hamptons, New York where he honed his skills with Summerhill Landscapes on a number of high specification and high-profile projects.
Since joining Pavilion Landscapes in 2008, Jack has led various high specification projects, many of which have received National Awards of excellence from the Association of Landscape Contractors in Ireland. With his rugby boots firmly left on the hook, he now lives in Carrigaline, Co. Cork with his wife and two daughters.
Bernard Hanley
Bernard Hanley established HQS Quantity Surveyors in 2011 with the aim of delivering high quality client orientated cost consultancy services in Cork.
HQS has over 30 years experience in the industry including commercial and residential projects and well as working with both the public and private sector. Bernard’s focus is to achieve complete client satisfaction and the successful delivery of all projects and services to budget with predetermined timescales.
His experience and partnership with Pavilion Landscapes allows us to offer our clients efficient high quality services that deliver on time and on budget.
A dedicated team is assigned to each client site for consistency and continuity of service. Our fully trained and experienced staff work discreetly to minimise any disturbance at the site, whilst providing the necessary services to achieve the high standards of maintenance our clients expect.
OUR CLIENTS TRUST US TO DELIVER
Our clients range from single sites such as privately owned estates to third level institutions, large corporations and semi state bodies where we have a number of partnership and preferred contractor status agreements. Individual contract values can range up to €1.5 million.
